BARBICAN TO PRESENT THE LAST FIVE YEARS
Date: 12 Apr - 16 Apr 10
Event: The Last Five Years
Location: The Barbican Centre
The Barbican Centre in central London will present a
Guildhall School production of
The Last Five Years next month. The dramatic musical will be performed from 12th to 16th April.
It was written by
Tony Award winner
Jason Robert Brown, who based the story on his own failed marriage. Guests can check in to the
Berkeley hotel in Knightsbridge before hopping in a taxi to see the show at the Barbican, which is located on Silk Street.
Described by organisers as "an intimate and evocative musical", The Last Five Years tells the story of Jamie, a rising author played by
Freddie Fox, and his wife Cathy, a struggling actress who will be portrayed by
Lily James.
The audience is introduced to the pair as they attempt to achieve their own ambitions while addressing the problems in their relationship. A
live orchestra will provide musical accompaniment for the show, which is coming to the Barbican following its successful run at the
Silk Street Theatre in January.
Return to the
five star Berkeley hotel after seeing
The Last Five Years to relax in your luxury suite or enjoy a drink at the
Blue Bar.
