The Chicest Baby Shower Tea Parties

Delicious gingerbread or chocolate biscuits in the shapes of baby booties, bottles and dummies, teddy-bear shaped lollipops, butterfly cupcakes, champagne and themed room decorations in pink, blue or yellow are all on offer with the new ‘Baby Shower’ afternoon tea service launched by The Berkeley in Knightsbridge.  It’s the perfect opportunity for to toast the health of mother and baby, before or after the big occasion, and to bring friends together for a thoroughly gorgeous girlie get-together.

Set amidst scented Diptyque candles and posies of McQueens flowers, The Berkeley Baby Shower is held in an elegant suite in the hotel for up to 10-15 friends. The hotel can source everything from the invitations for the party to assorted stylish decorations (from glamorous marabou feathers and sparkly Swarovski table crystals to glittery silk butterflies and marshmallow hearts).

The afternoon tea, served on the prettiest cake stands and sweetie-hued plates, features pretty cupcakes and fondant fancies, baby-themed iced biscuits and tea sandwiches, complimented with coffee, tea, juices and of course copious amounts of pink champagne (served in The Berkeley’s chicest flutes).

A Berkeley Spa therapist can also be on standby in the suite to provide guests with hand massages and to paint fingers and toes, starting with the expectant mother who will also receive a goodie box full of Mama Mio baby treats. Other treats for mum can also be sourced on behalf of the host, at additional cost, including books like This Little Piggy Went to Prada, Trumpette baby socks (printed with patterns like stripes, butterflies and Mary-Jane shoe straps).

Guests depart with miniature hand-tied bouquets and teddy bear and heart shaped lollipops (additional goodie bag treats can also be sourced). The room can also be booked for the night for mum (and partner/baby) to stay and luxuriate afterwards.
