A race through time
If classic motors fuel your imagination, experience a weekend full of racing drama and vintage glamour set against the backdrop of the rolling Sussex countryside at Goodwood Revival.
The world’s largest vintage motor racing festival offers motor enthusiasts and vintage buffs the chance to step back in time to embrace all the thrills and romance of mid-century car culture. In the post-war years, the Goodwood circuit was the spiritual home of British motor racing. After a hiatus of over 30 years it was revived in 1998 to bring the laidback, joyful atmosphere of racing’s golden age back to life.
Goodwood Revival is staged entirely in period dress and no modern cars are allowed within the circuit on race days. As well as feeling the roar of the period engines trackside, visitors can marvel at thousands of classic cars and aeroplanes, live it up 1950s style at the funfair and shop on the revival high street. Although vintage attire is not compulsory, many visitors join in the fun – and you are sure to see plenty of people sporting classic tea dresses or sharp tweed suits.
By bringing many hundreds of 1948-66 cars to the circuit, and many thousands of people dressed to match, the Revival creates a unique spectacle
