Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre
London theatre under the stars
One of London’s most distinctive theatres is not to be found on Shaftesbury Avenue or the South Bank. It occupies a magical space within the Inner Circle in one of the capital’s most celebrated Royal Parks.
Performances at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre have been enchanting audiences since 1932. Both the stage and auditorium are completely uncovered, offering a captivating backdrop to award-winning productions of all kinds. Al fresco dining is also available before the show with luxury hampers, picnics, a barbecue menu and gin tasting all on offer.
This year, the programme features a Pulitzer Prize-winning play, an opera, a musical and a Shakespeare comedy. The curtain raises on Our Town – a universal tale of the relationships that bind us all together – before Engelbert Humperdink’s operatic retelling of Hansel & Gretel. Then there is a magical performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream before Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical Evita closes the season.
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has been transformed into one of the capital’s most exciting spaces.
