ABBA concert

ABBA Voyage

Jaw-dropping. A triumph.

The Guardian

See it to believe it

Take a chance on this talk-of-the-town concert that’s rewriting the performance rulebook. ABBA Voyage transports audiences back to 1977, as the Swedish supergroup takes to the stage as avatars – bringing new depth to their classic hits. Dress code for dancing queens (and kings): flares, feathers and sequins.

This virtual concert residency takes place in the ABBA Arena, a purpose-built venue at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. State-of-the-art technology, incredible lighting and iconic songs come together here in a fun, futurist extravaganza.

The dance moves and outfits are uncannily familiar. But there’s plenty to surprise too. Expect a full-blown theatre performance – complete with a jam-packed playlist and anime video quest that’s pure Studio Ghibli.

A budget-blowing production

Befitting one of the biggest bands in history, ABBA Voyage has been an epic undertaking. 1000 animators worked on digitising footage to create the avatars. There are almost 300 surround sound speakers in the 3,000-capacity venue. And the whole venture cost around £140 million to produce. It’s one extraordinary way to say ‘Thank You for the Music’.
