A passion for creativity and a long collaboration with the very best interior designers and architects puts the Berkeley at the forefront of design.

    • David Collins was responsible for the Blue Bar, restoring and incorporating wood panelling designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, in whose honour Collins created a paint colour he christened “Lutyens Blue”.
    • Robert Angell created the exquisite look of The Berkeley’s all-day restaurant, the Collins Room, using cool blue and lavender tones which were prevalent in the work of the late David Collins, after whom the restaurant is named. Robert Angell was also responsible for the design of Marcus (Marcus Wareing’s two Michelin-starred restaurant at The Berkeley), the first-floor Chelsea Suites and the Balcony King rooms, which command a stunning, uninterrupted view of London’s skyline..
    • New York interiors guru Alexandra Champalimaud led a stunning refurbishment of the ballroom.
    • World-renowned interiors architect André Fu created The Berkeley’s spectacular Opus Suite, with 270-degree views of Hyde Park and Knightsbridge and a series of carefully-balanced, expansive spaces that share a flowing layout: a place to live, entertain, hold court or simply retreat in peace.
    • Spencer Fung Architects masterminded the natural, organic look of the Bamford Haybarn Spa and the architectural curves of the swimming pool area that are unique features of The Berkeley Health Club & Spa.
    • Helen Green Studio designed most of the Berkeley Suites in exquisitely understated, calmly contemporary style.
    • John Heah was responsible for The Berkeley’s magnificent Apartment, a first-floor signature suite fit for a king occupying the quiet south-east corner of the hotel; John Heah also created the contemporary Grand Terrace Suites with spacious balconies overlooking the neighbourhood St Paul’s Church.
    • Every morning, beautifully stylish floral arrangements arrive glistening fresh from couture flower emporium McQueens.
    • Every afternoon, the latest catwalk creations become delicate confectionary served on Wedgwood fine bone china at Prêt-à-Portea.
