Making an Entrance
With the unveiling of its brand new Richard Rogers-designed façade, The Berkeley signals its new status as a world-class game-changer in the hospitality industry. A unique piece of statement architecture by the distinguished Rogers Stirk Harbour partnership, the show-stopping new entrance on the west side is built of glass, steel and carbon fibre beams, with state-of-the-art glass extensions to either side. The canopy leads into the lobby, where Robert Angell has designed a welcoming, open space using white Italian marble, soft timber panelling and eye-catching furnishings that give a sense of occasion and arrival. The new entrance also has no changes of level, making it easier to access.

Named as a tribute to the legendary designer David Collins, the space has now been stunningly reimagined by Collins’s protégé Robert Angell as a light-filled, contemporary and charming dining room that welcomes guests at flexible times for a light breakfast, lunch, Prêt-à-Portea, dinner – and your choice of drinks in between.

Blue Bar Is Back
A sought-after destination since 2000, the Blue Bar at The Berkeley is back and set once again to spearhead the bar scene in London. Following its extension, the Blue Bar has a new spaciousness, whilst retaining the iconic Lutyens Blue panelling originally conceived by David Collins Studio. Expect a new buzz from this much-loved nightspot, as the skilled mixologists once again dazzle with their sophisticated cocktails.
Under the new True Colours concept, cocktails are categorised by colour, with green to denote easygoing, low-alcohol mixes, yellow for champagne cocktails, red for potent highballs and spirituous classics and blue for the Blue Bar’s own signature cocktails.
